neutral makeup of the day

I'm one of those girls that likes makeup but if I don't have to wear any, I don't. Most days I just wear eyeliner and mascara but it was Saturday so I did do a bit more...

• Revlon colorstay in natural tan.. I have quite oily skin and I'm normal so I do break out and this offers pretty good coverage
• Elf small stipple brush to blend in the foundation
• Elf tone correcting powder, do not be fooled by the name, it doesn't correct anything but it does manage to set my foundation and it keeps the shine away for quite a while
• Elf flat powder brush ... don't apply too much of the above powder because it could make you look ashy especially if you have tan skin.
• blistex deep renewal chap stick. this is my all time favorite
• NYX lip liner in nude
• Bobby Brown lipstick in shade 2, Beige. it's like your lips but better, a bit more pink
• Mary Kay blush in Sparking Cider applied very lighty with a generic blush brush from walmart
• Elf eyelid primer in sheer, I have oily eyelids and I find that this primer delays the creasing process significantly. It's only a dollar so it's worth trying
• L'oreal quad in Landscape. I used the goldenish shade all over the lid, the redish color as a trasition color and the brown in the crease
• Elf blending brush and eyeshadow brush
• Rimmel scandal eyes,the black on the tightline and the taupe on my waterline 
• Revlon eyelash curlers
• L'Oreal voluminous fiber lashes mascara, I love this mascara but its annoying to have to take of all of the excess mascara off of the wand

These products complete my neutral look for today...any suggestions? until next time, don't die <3

Canelo Alvarez

I've just finished watching the biggest fight of the year, maybe, it's a matter of opinion I suppose. I'm not going to lie, I wanted canelo to win. Maybe it's because I'm Mexican, but I honestly thought he had a chance at winning, and he didn't disappoint. I think he's been mayweather's biggest competition in some time. Personally, I dislike mayweather, I don't like his fighting style but at the end of the day, he won. I was surprised and happy that at the end of the fight he acknowledged Canelo's talent, and he didn't brush off the fight as an easy win because I don't think it was.
Canelo es un verdadero orgullo hispano. Solo tiene 23 años, y le faltan muchas peleas  por pelear. Presiento que va tener una carrera muy larga y excitosa. Lo admiro mucho por su humildad y ferocidad. Tiene mucho de que estar orgulloso.
I will continue to follow canelo throughout his career, and I will forever admire his humility. Canelo  hasn't yet peaked and I can't wait to see what the height of his career will bring.

my week in a nutshell

Ello jellos!!! How have you been?
This will be a tiny rant pertaining to what's happened so far this week, the interesting stuff that is...
I went to the gym. Am I the only one that finds motivation difficult? But once I'm there, I feel nice and stress-free.
I'm trying to eat healthier and drink more water. I've been eating way more salads and less heavy food, if that makes sense. Hehe ...i hate ranch, i think it tastes rather funky, if anyone is in that same boat, hit up your local WalMart and buy the white balsamic yogurt dressing, it is delish! Add some croutons and your good to go, or add lemon and salt if you don't like dressings. XD
I went shopping with my mom and I bought 2 shirts that im super excited to wear in the fall. Fall is my favorite season, my excitement cannot be contained!
My friend sent me a postcard from San Francisco, it was absolutely lovely to hear from her. We all text mow a days but I think handwritten notes and letters are so much more sentimental :)
Tomorrow I'm having lunch with some friends and we might hit up the beach :)

Batman, soccer, music, the lot....

Ello jellos!!! It is currently about 10 PM on a Friday night, most of you probably have lives, but not me. I doubt anyone is reading this. XD I'm sitting at home watching the 5th season of The Big Bang Theory, and I honestly don't mind. Does anyone else find Sheldon's quirky awkwardness kind of endearing?
Anywho, I thought I'd share some quick little tidbits about myself so that you can all get to know me a little. I'm the average girl, I think....

1. I have 2 dogs, they are awesome!! They're like living, breathing stuffed animals :)
2. I'm Batman! hehe just kidding! But I do love batman, the Christian Bale trilogy was freaking fantastic!!!!!! Heath Ledger has to have been the best Joker of all time! (I'm still sad that he's gone) Tom Hardy was amazing as well!
3. Star Wars is one of my favorite things ever! Am I a geek? I like Lord of the Rings as well...if I am a geek, I don't mind one bit :D
4.  I like to bake cakes, my next one will be a minion, I hope.
5. I played soccer for about five years, and I think I'm going to get back on the wagon. Soccer introduced me to some amazing friends. After a year on the sidelines, I hope I can get back in the game.
6. When I was younger, I played violin, then flute, then bassoon....good times :D
7. I may have a mild addiction to pinterest. Anybody else?
8. Music wise, I'm open to a lot of things but my favorite band of all time has to be Linkin Park. I know that they've changed a lot since the days of Numb, In the End, and Breaking the Habit but everyone has the right to change.
9. My hair is in a bun most of the time and I prefer not to wear makeup unless I have to.
10. I'd like to get into photography a bit more. I wonder if I should post some of those pictures on this blog?
